Meet Sandra McDonald, Founder and Lead Practitioner of Tír na nÓg Wellness Centre in Stratford, Ontario

Sandra McDonald brings a science-based, whole-person approach to wellness care at Tír na nÓg Wellness Centre. With more than 20 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, Sandra’s work is grounded in education, careful assessment, and personalized treatment planning. Her clinical background includes primary care, mental health, sexual health, diabetes management, metabolic health, and chronic disease care, along with advanced training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and foundational training in functional and integrative medicine. She is passionate about helping people better understand their health and empowering them to take an active role in achieving lasting wellness.

At Tír na nÓg Wellness Centre, Sandra focuses on helping adults better understand the hormonal, metabolic, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to weight resistance, fatigue, low energy, low libido, menopause and perimenopause symptoms, and other health concerns. Her approach is not built around quick fixes or one-size-fits-all protocols. Instead, she works with each client to develop a clearer picture of their health, identify meaningful goals, and create a personalized care plan rooted in evidence-based support. She believes that taking the time to listen, educate, and build genuine partnerships leads to more confident decisions and better long-term health outcomes.

Sandra’s philosophy reflects the belief that wellness is a journey shaped by biology, lifestyle, mindset, and lived experience. Through education, structured care, and thoughtful clinical guidance, she helps clients take proactive steps toward balance, renewed energy, and a healthier healthspan. Her goal is to help every client feel informed, supported, and empowered to feel like themselves again.
